Candace Owens Episode Review - July 9th: Still on Epstein, Tucker, Paid Pastors and Nick Fuentes

Following on from the fallout regarding Trump's administration's reneging on their promise to release the Epstein files and their about-face statements that there actually were no Epstein files, Candace Owens declares that this debacle is a bridge too far and the MAGA movement is now in crisis.

But first, let's talk about her look today: Candace likes this denim jacket and has worn it on several occasions during her podcast. I get it, it's smart-casual, warm, comfortable, modest and goes with almost everything. But I don't like it. It's bulky and unflattering, the colour is drab and it lacks the style and elegance of her other clothing choices. It's also too ordinary and not eye-catching enough.

Ditch the denim jacket Candace!

Her hair is the classic loose and skimming her shoulders style, and I spot a tiny pendant on her very thing necklace that sits right in the hollow of her neck which is cute. Her earrings are one from a number of ornate gold clips she often wears, and her nails have had a very light matte pink or cream finish since she returned from the July 4th weekend.

Candace likes this jacket but it's a no from me

Now for the review of her Youtube episode titled: Yes, The MAGA Movement Is Now Compromised. | Candace Ep 213

Tucker's Interview with Saagar Enjeti

Candace plays three clips from Tucker Carlson's interview with Saagar Enjeti, one right at the beginning of today' episode and she spends around 10 minutes covering what was said. Candace gives so many compliments and brings so much good publicity his way that Tucker should start paying her. But of course she's just doing what friends and those who admire you do.

Tucker Carlson interviews Saagar Enjeti

So Enjeti correctly highlights the point that the administration knows we know they're lying, but they are willing to suffer through the people's anger, condemnation and mockery in order to protect those they know they have to protect. It is more important for them to protect those implicated than to tell the truth.

Church Leaders Bashing Christians to Support Israel

It was so funny seeing Candace haul a huge Bible from 1880 onto her desk to read along with the Pastor Brett Meador.

But it was so uncomfortable to watch Pastor Meador speak at length about what's going on in Israel, the politics of supporting Israel and the Jews, who is engaging in antisemitism and even playing clips from Tucker Carlson's debate with Ted Cruz.

What a Shame to see a Christian Leader Preach a Whole Sermon on Politics

The undue prominence giving to this issue in places of worship is unseemly, and gets into bias and partisan territory. Apart from the injunction in Mark 12:17 to 'Give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s and to God what is God’s', the Bible did not concern itself with partisan politics.

When Jesus walked the earth, he did not spend time talking about the rulers and the government, even though the Roman occupation was at the fore-front of his listener's minds. His focus and concern was for the spiritual and physical needs of the people; teaching them what the Kingdom of God looked like and giving them understanding about spiritual matters.

As for the biblical connection, Israel in the Bible refers to a man who was previously named Jacob, and his descendants. They then become a nation whom God calls His first born son before they turn away from worshipping God and are dispersed around the world. In Revelations 3:9, Jesus speaks of "those who are of the synagogue of Satan, who claim to be Jews though they are not, but are liars".

I believe that the people who moved into Israel when the country was formed in 1948 are European descendants of the Khazars (modern day Ukraine) who mass-converted to Judaism to avoid persecution. I don't believe they are Semitic at all. In fact the Palestinians, Syrians and other Muslims and Christians who have lived in the region for centuries are the actual descendants of Abraham and the true Semites.

So Christians need not venerate the current inhabitants of Israel as some special group of God's chosen people nor be at the mercy of the government of Israel and its war choices. Satan has infiltrated God's people to corrupt them, just as he infiltrated Eden and corrupted Adam and Eve, so that what remains are a godless group far removed from God's original people.

Politically they are causing harm to others in the region and systematically destroying the rich historical deposits of churches, temples, scriptures and artifacts of the semitic peoples in Iraq, Iran, Syria and Afghanistan, as if it was a purposeful attack on those whose identities they have stolen. Also the Jews in Israel today are secular for the most part (the largest Pride Parades in the Middle East occur in Tel Aviv) and their special status is self-ascribed rather than spiritually accurate, and they have used this link to the Bible to control American foreign policy to their benefit for decades.

Finally, Galatians 3:28 says "There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus." So there are no special people in God's Kingdom.

Praying the Baby Jesus

I loved the clip from Talladega Nights where Will Ferrell is saying the grace. I love that even though they are being irreverent, they are still acknowledging the tradition of prayer before meals, still incorporating Christianity in their lives, and the movie makers didn't just ignore or blaspheme our faith in a dark and unsavoury way, but poked gentle fun at prayer by a Christian family in a way that was funny in a wholesome way.

They don't make them like this anymore: Kudos to Will Ferrell for engaging with Christianity in a wholesome way

Christians in the past criticised movies, comedians and other forms of art that poked fun at their Christian heritage, but isn't it better to see it acknowledged and engaged with in a mature and thoughtful manner than how it is now where Christianity is either completely absent and ignored, or featured in a purely sacrilegious manner, akin to a female Jesus, Satanic imagery and men in expletive-ridden music videos depicting Jesus on the cross, made by non-Christians who despise the faith and create such profane art to gain publicity by creating offence?

Give me the gentle mocking of our faith wrapped in humour and family and actually getting into the words and prayers and imagery of Jesus any day, similar to the way Monty Python explored the life of Jesus in their film The Life of Brian. I was not offended by that movie, on the contrary I enjoyed the way established comedians of their time grappled with the gospel message and with the deity of God seriously and made it funny. This is theology for the masses folks.

Ben Shapiro

I agreed at first with Shapiro in the clip Candace showed where he argued that in the grand scheme of things, The Epstein files is a minor situation. But then Candace snaps me back to reality by asserting that we all knew that Washington was a swamp, and just as we were getting close to unearthing the facts about this via looking into the dealings of a major player in the swamp, led by a president who said he would drain the swamp, his administration right at the last moment blocked all access to the swamp in order to protect it.

The fact that Trump's cabinet, the government at large and Hollywood have been blackmailed into silence regarding the files and continue to supress the activities of wealthy and influential paedophiles in support of a foreign state is a matter of grave importance, because as Candace said, this means America is compromised, and as such nothing else matters.

Nick Fuentes

Candace dropped a trailer for her interview with Nick Fuentes, which will premier on her website because Fuentes is banned from Youtube. I'm excited to see this. As a Christian Conservative, Fuentes says many things I agree with, and I always appreciate those who have the courage of their convictions to speak truths that the mainstream does not want to hear, like Candace herself.

However, his racism is a problem, in that he is a white nationalist who disparages black people, harbours violent intentions towards black people and is against inter-racial marriage. I do understand his viewpoint and I am sympathetic to the idea that Western governments are seemingly working to erase the gains white societies have made by importing more brown people to destabilise them. I am also sympathetic to notions of white erasure, the harmful effects of DEI and the fact that being a white, straight, Christian man in America is unpopular in the mainstream world today, which is a refrain Matt Walsh, who I am a big fan of, returns to again and again.

So Fuentes is interesting to me, and I appreciate Candace speaking to him. I remember they had a public disagreement not too long ago when Fuentes accused Candace of being dishonest and Candace called him out on her show for being a liar, so I appreciate the mature way they seem to have settled their differences and have chose to have a discussion.

I look forward to watching.
